My Grandma passed away in March 2022 and left behind a beautiful, garage kept 2003 TRD 4x4 Double Cab in Mystic Gold Metallic with only 42k miles on it. All mourning aside, this truck is in fantastic shape. What a beauty. My grandpa sold it to me because he refuses to drive anything but a stick.

Truck is 100% stock right now. My plans for this truck are pretty mild. Mostly maintenance and detailing. First thing I did was take it to a trusted local Toyota mechanic for general inspection and an overdue 30k service.

    Completed Maintenance:
    • Front Brakes (4/22/22)
    • Coolant (4/22/22)
    • ATF (4/22/22)
    • Engine Oil, Oil Filter, and Air Filter (4/22/22)
    • Front/Rear Diff Oil (5/15/22)
    • Transfer Case Oil (5/15/22)
    • Spark Plugs and Wires (5/15/22)
    Future Maintenance:
    • Replace Broken Right Turn Signal Housing
    • Lower Ball Joints
    • Timing Belt and Water Pump
I am open to suggestions regarding maintenance. I have a running list of more things to get inspected by a different local Toyota mechanic when I get the next oil change.

I don't really have any plans to "mod" this truck. But I do plan to make it my own and add some knick-knacks here and there.

    Current Mods and Knick-Knacks:
    • Dee Zee bedmat (cut to fit a short bed)
    Future Mods and Knick-Knacks:
    • Phone Mount (Hondo Garage Squeeze + Ram Balls)
    • WeatherTech Floorliners (maybe)
    • Wet Okole Seat Covers (maybe)
    • Window Tint
    • Dashmat (prolly not)

First thing I did was add a bed mat. Picked one up from Dee Zee that is meant to fit a long bed. I used a fixed-blade box cutter to make it fit the short bed. I was hoping that it would fit around the wheel wells better but I figure that the wheel wells are shaped differently on long beds. Whatever. It still works.
