Hi I am wondering if the TSS Sensor mounted in the front grill is adjustable for distance ? If I use the dash switch to set it to the closet setting for me to be behind the vehicle in front of me - it is about a tenth of a mile. Also it seems to trigger the dash screen when a car in the lane next to me either passes or slows down. Is approximately a tenth of a mile the normal or closest distance, cause other drivers easily jump into the gap. I hate that !!

Sensor has never been removed from the grill, but it has been unplugged to remove the grill to add a grill screen and transmission coolers. Vehicle has never been keyed on during the process.

    Thanks

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Simple solution - use regular constant speed cruise control and not the adaptive cruise control.

Tacomas don’t have the best safety sense and it’s just the nature of it.

There’s not adjustments just one standard calibration.

if you want “regular cruise control” press and hold the cruise control on button and only the one green light will come on.

Sounds like a plan !!! Didn't really want to take it to the dealer with transmission coolers for them to see. Thanks for the advice. Regards

My 2021 OR has three sensitivity levels in the cluster that I believe can increase or decrease the traveling distance with the adaptive CC. I, unlike you wish to have the most distance between me and the fellow or gal in front so I set it at the most sensitive. My maximum distance is only about 300 feet.
