Ironman 2.5" lift here with spcs. Tires going on next week with bmc and viper cut. Should I raise to 3" up front? Will it make that much of a difference? Heard 3" is fairly rough vs 2.5.

I’m running fox 2.5’s with -12 offset, 2.25” lift, CMR and trimming but not a viper cut. You might want that 1/2” if you’re running a larger offset.

Such a clean look! I've decided on the same tires, installing end of the month after an aggressive CMC and trimming. I have FN Konig 6 shooter's 17 x 8 w/ 0 offset similar to yours. Have you taken yours offroad yet, I'm curious if I should bite the bullet on some spacers to prevent rubbing? Edit: Have King 3" lift, Icon Delta Joint UCA's, if anyone has some advice?

    Thanks!

It was on some fast gravel roads this weekend. I may have heard the drivers tire touch one time, but I don't see any witness marks.

For me, the spacers were mostly for looks, but, I also read that people with 0 offset wheels sometimes would rub on the Fox reservoirs because the way they are mounted. Some guys said you needed a half inch of clearance. You will have more rubbing with spacers than without, provided everything else clears.

He’s right about the spacers. They take away space by pushing your wheels away from the truck. Essentially widening your wheel base. Mo Offset = Mo Problems. I only did a -12 offset to prevent rubbing on shocks and UCA’s. You should check out the negative offset thread.

You called it. The shop set that extra .5".

Some pics. Also - maybe I'm the only one who feels like this, but though it looks pretty beefy, cause of the G003, it does feel a bit "skinny'. Next set will prob be a 305/70/17.

Also fun fact, 31" stock pro 16" wheels/tires + kdmax + stock OR suspension was 18mpg. These + ironman foam pros = 15mpgs.

Yeah 285/75/17 are actually slightly thinner than 285/70/17s.
I don't believe G003s are offered in 305/70/17 so you might just need to bite the bullet and go 35s

I have them on my 2019 DC Sport. Quality product made in the USA! They are less expensive on Amazon and delivered the next day https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BGRDMOM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. I also like they way they changed the stance. I have the Bushwhacker fender flares installed and I had to eat up the overhang.

Just finished aggressive CMC/pinch weld and plastic trimming to fit 34s. Torn between 285/75R17 or 305/70R17 since they make the Nitto RG in both sizes. Both are 33.8 only difference is the 305/70R17 is 0.8" wider. Can't seem to find much on 305/70R17, maybe not a lot of people run them?

For the 305’s you’ll be trimming 95% the same amount of stuff required to do the 315/70/17s. Besides the N. RG not too many other tire choices that are offroad thread. Therefore people just bite the bullet and go all out and choose the tire they actually want at 315’s.

I see, I was told once I go 35s I would have to mess with the firewall which I'm trying to avoid. Looks like 285/75R17 will be the way to go for my needs, was only looking at 305/70R17 because the 285/75R17 looks a bit skinny from the front/rear in person.

I went 35x 11.5’s and width maybe looks a little better than 285’s. I avoided a lot of 315 issues. I was going to do the 285/75/17 but couldn’t get tires I actually wanted. In the end these turned out better IMO.

That's my thinking as well. Might as well go 3q5 or 35 x 11.5s maybe
