So a while back I stored some parts in the back seat of my taco so they wouldn’t get stolen out of the bed. Little did I know they would munch out some of the rubber off the back seat arm rests. Anyone know of anywhere that could possibly fix this? I’m in north OC

My daughter did the same thing by biting it- i just used some black silicone to cover it up a bit. I think the only way to fully repair it is to replace it with a new (or nice used) panel. You may be able to texture the silicone by pushing a textured piece of material into it as it is hardening… or even with a mold from the original material?

    Yes
If it is similar to a second gen the arm rest panel can be removed by drilling out the plastic welds from the back and then easily recovered and reattached

There’s a huge pick a part close to me I may go check out in the next few days. I’m sure they have a taco or two I can pry apart. If that doesn’t work I can just try the black silicone tactic. I just wonder what I can use to force the texture.

That’s a solid idea. I’m guessing it won’t adhere to the material when creating the impression. Well, I have a project this weekend now. Thanks guys

Do you think black silicone will be too dark though?

Yeah, it is a bit but matches better than the holes.

-OP/ may want to spray or brush on some vegetable oil or something similar as a release on the clay mold before pressing it into the silicone…
