Aside from putting on TRD OR wheels and upgrading the speakers, I wouldn't really do much to this truck if I bought it.

I smoked a cigar in my truck once (there are no lingering odors), but my uncle has been smoking cigarettes in his truck practically from the day he bought it; You make a very good point. However, in 2006 my dad bought a 2002 BMW 325i convetible from his older brother; The car was primarily driven by my aunt, who smokes like a chimney. However, the car didn't really smell bad at all and I think being a convertible played a role in this; There was no smell when the A/C was turned on either, and the A/C worked great! My dad ended up trading it for a new Acura in 2008 because just routine maintenance on the damn thing cost a fortune.

3rd gen guy here. Unless you really need or want the interior space I said keep the course. Price is KBB but prices are extremely high right now too. Interior smoke a strong no go here

Couldn't help but notice that you have a 2018; Do you like having TSS, or would you regard it as a pain in the ass?

Both, I like the adaptive cruse control but it’s a PITA. Two big areas. In the desert when driving under pedestrian over passes on the freeway it freaks out on the shadow (thinks it’s a car stopped) and up north in storms it just turns off sometimes(rain and snow). So I like it when it works, but it also flips out a bit. Auto on high beams tends to not work the best on hills and piss of people. So I don’t use it. Lane departure I use but only on long trips.

He bought that truck for less than 26k in 19' I saw new trucks going for high 25k on lots when looking for mine. i wouldnt buy it for 30k used unless you absolutely needed the truck. its not a deal in my book (for example my SR V6 4x4 was 30k on the lot new)

Good point mine new OTD was 31,500. But times have changed. That said I had to drive to a neighbor state to get it

if he can afford to wait for the shift in power to return to the buyer it would serve him better. His truck is capable of going another 100k trouble free miles farther.

    A bunch..and no build thread!
    Keep your truck.

He's asking for $30K? What a guy! lol.

Sounds like your truck is just fine. I could see if you were getting a deal on an OR or a Pro, but a 2WD Sport?

You're better off staying with your current truck.

KBB is $32K; No idea what comparable trucks are going for in Myrtle Beach where this one is located, but I guarantee you any dealer in my area would put it on the lot for $34K+...

Myrtle Beach, is he near the ocean? Pass, pass, pass. Between the salty air, smoke, 2wd, yada yada, $30K is nuts.

And my truck has also had about $20K worth of work done to it that I didn't have to pay for, between the frame replacement and all that entailed last November, and almost $3,000 for a new door and paintwork in March 2022 due to a freak accident that wasn't my fault.

Oh it was a good fit for me haha I had fun in the Marine Corps Infantry. Heck I laughed the whole time haha boot camp to deployment, it was all hilarious  good times.

I’m just not the “oohrah” “semper fi” perpetually living in a past identity type haha.

@PennSilverTaco I always like to remind my Midwest friends who “buy American only” that Chrysler/GM/Ford all ran their business horribly and were outdone by the competition (un-American), literally owe you and me and all tax payers BILLIONS of dollars for their free pass bailouts (un-American), and have less engineering, parts, jobs, anything here in America than the Tundra/Tacoma (so obviously un-American).

If that doesn’t put icing on the cake I always mention that Toyotas are almost exclusively the only trucks that special forces use when fighting for our freedoms. So going into battle carrying Special Forces Americans to safety is certainly more FreedomFantastic than companies like Ford/GM/Chrysler that send our money to some fat loser CEO and the rest overseas, rather than good companies like Toyota and Honda who have smart Engineer CEOs and send that money back into American economy, American jobs, and are actually reliable and a good value for American people.

Cheers, all. I’m out for the day haha

My aunt lives at North Myrtle, she's not on the water either but close. Every car she's ever had has rusted away. Her golf cart sits outside, it's a rusted heap too.
