Unlocking at the ddoor handle...

A short time ago my 2019 Tacoma Sport Access Cab began unlocking both front doors when I touch the driver's door handle. (In the past it only unlocked the driver's door - what I want!) I've searched the Owner's Manual (Imagine that!? I RTFM!) and searched this forum but found nothing about how to change this detail. (Found nothing in the "Settings" part of the in-dash menu system). THe Fob only unlocks the driver's door when the unlock button is pressed.

So how do I change the unlock parameter (without going to a dealer)?

Easy guys... This stuff is easy to miss in all those menus.

 

^^..and sometimes different settings options become available if your ignition is off vs on.

I started the enigne and got an additional selection in the "Settings" area of "Apps". And of course that selection, hidden when engine is off, was where I solved a couple problems including the door unlock selection and the unwanted 'beeps' on the radio buttons!

Great infos. I hear the 2023 and for later models. You will be able to touch handles to unlock from the passenger door also, like the driver side is now.

 

My ‘20 unlocks from both front doors. Driver side only that door. Passenger side unlocks them all.

 

I believe this thread is about keyless entry

 

Oh , Toyota added this feature already in the 2020. Thank you. I got a 2019. A gentleman will always open the lady’s door first. Unless you are already “married” .
