So my brother just bought a 22 trd sport with adaptive cruise control. He wants to lift it. Anyone know if thats still an issue? I remember reading somewhere on here that a lift kit would freak the computer out.

As far as I know it can still cause issues with the adaptive cruise control. He can try and get it recalibrated at the dealer but with mixed success. Same with changing grilles. It’s part of why I’m leaving my tundra untouched in that regard.

Yeah that’s the one, only $5k in aftermarket parts already, nothing too crazy.

in other news, I also bought a thing. I like things with wheels on them. Apparently the most popular things in Peoria are Caterpillar, Disc Golf, and Mountain biking, so we're checking all the boxes there

I’ve gotten into biking lately too. Got a bike ~2 weeks ago and have ridden basically every day since then.

Which Specialized bike is that? Looks similar to the Fuse I have but with normal size tires.

Thats so much fun! I saw some pics on the fb and your family looks very cute and happy. makes me want to grow up faster haha.

I was riding a older steel framed road bike on a path through a few towns they have here. Recently snagged the mtb to get on some off road trails here, and with the aluminum frame its easily waaaayyy lighter. really cool to see how that kind of technology that we don't normally think about has progressed

Its a specialized rockhopper comp 29. I think the fuse is a bit fancier. do you have big ol tires on yours?

picked her up on the "bought during covid, realized they hated the outdoors" special for a steal, so I'm excited.

Bilstein 6112 front / 5100 rear (extended) shocks, Headstrong AAL, Firestone airbags, 4.88 gears, OME Carrier bearing drop kit, Aluminum 1/4" skids (engine to transfer). Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.

Adaptive cruise works great on my 2018 with 2" lift and the dealer hasn't touched it. It has no problem identifying the vehicle ahead and staying the appropriate distance behind it during cruise control (there are 3 settings further, closer and closest.)

That's funny, I remember during Covid the used bike market took off before everyone realized they hated the outdoors. I bought a Rockhopper after I graduated college, the technology nowadays is night and day different. The Fuse has the mid-fatty tires and is a hardtail like yours. Good for climbing and the tires soak up the bumps but still handle great.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Mine works fine, I just don't use it. And holding the cruise button down for 3 seconds bypasses the adaptive portion.

My doctor back in MI suggested I should loose some weight. I told him I'd been followhis advise which led to the weight gain in the first place. He looked puzzled. "You said to watch my weight, so I got it out where I could see it." He wasn't amused.

I use mine pretty regularly on I-81, except when those damn trucks are cutting me off. :luvya: As far as I can tell it works the same both pre- and post-lift. I honestly never considered the lift might affect it, but I can understand the concern.
