Yeah I guess I did, it was a long day I was tired as all get out.

I'll get a picture of the goods later now that everything's opened.

Already put the 3/8" power ratchet to work.

Batteries were big oof but one of the reasons I'm selling my DeWalt and Makita stuff is batteries wanted to consolidate to one "family" for everything and it was either buy 4 batteries for each brand or go into a new family, decided to just eat the big bite and go Milwaukee.

I know I won't regret it but the sticker prices was pain.

    Ahh yeah

I've found that M12 has its place for a few things, even though I'm partial to M18.

For instance, the 3/8" ratchet is an M12. Freaking love that thing and makes unbolting a ton of shit so much faster -

    20220613_145925.jpg

Also that mini cut off tool in the corner? Used it for the first time (minutes ago) in the 2+ years I've owned it. Definitely came in clutch.

I ran Makita 12v for a while at work, and had Rigid at home... when my Makita batteries died, I found they dropped the 12v stuff. I found other guys were running Milwaukee M12 in the shop at work, so I bite the bullet and bought a couple things at a trade show. I have been really impressed with the stuff. So switched at home too.

I picked up my first M18 last year...I bought the weedeater. Came with an extra battery. So that led to an M18 Mid torque impact gun. There are so many options with thier stuff. And it may cost a bit more but atleast I have not found it lacks the quality.

I still have a couple air tools, old school Craftsman (before China-man) 1/2 bolt slapper, die grinder and air saw. Eventually I may go all battery powered with how far tech has come but I had to draw the line on budget somewhere.

Decided for the time being to just replace what I already had power tool wise with the Milwaukee ver, plus add the m12 power ratchet as I end up using my Uncle's quite a bit more than I thought I would when helping him on things.

Will probably still mainly rely on my plug in grinder as there's no battery charge downtime to worry about there but sometimes it's nice to have two grinders in the shop, one with a wheel for shaping and one with a flap disk for fine tuning deburring and surface finish.

I will say the only tool I was really disappointed in were the angle grinders; I had both a Milwaukee Fuel and a corded version.

Returned both and happily use 2x Metabo HPT (Hitachi rebrand) corded grinders for everything in the shop.

My Makita plug in grinder has been more than enough for me.

IMHO battery grinders kinda suck on principle, too many amps pulled and to carry a big enough battery that doesn't over heat or die immediately when hogging makes it unhandy and awkward but sometimes you just don't have power convenient.

I got the Sawzaw though I rarely rarely use it as most pick-a-parts around here won't even allow "spark throwing tools" (primarily grinders) in the gate so if you need to chop something a Sawzaw is about your only option.

Don't even know where to look for Metabo around me though I know they're good stuff if I get more into it and burn up my old trusty Makita I may look more into a Metabo.

Most of what I do is lighter duty and just for me with occasional sporadic side jobs I pick up. Though now that I have my own more proper shop I'm hoping to pick up more side jobs, one of the big reasons I refit myself with the Milwaukee stuff.

Alright y'all said no points for box pics so here's a proper family photo, even dug up the ol' plug in (what's that?) port-a-band.

Wow, they really added to the options... when I bought last spring they only had 4... the pole saw, the hedge trimmer, the weed wacker and and the edge trimmer... they really invest in their tool lines!

Just picked up one today, just have the trimmer head right now, tomorrow I finally get around to tackling my overgrown neglected yard.

Debating picking up the brush cutter head if the trimmer isn't enough.

That leaf blower is handy as hell.

I mow the lawn once a week, and as a final sweep I use the leaf blower to blow off any dirt and debris out from the garage, driveway, etc.

    It's strong as hell.

The first time I used one (which is what led to me getting my own) I was (pun intended) blow away by it.

It doesn't seem like it could have as much oomph as it does but it do.

    Love them!

    Super light super powerful.

String trimmer did great too, the one charge of the 8Ah battery would have been enough for my needs had the yard not been so neglected.

    Way better than gas.

The string that comes in the head isn't that great though, fortunately I had better string on hand.

Project Farm says "Twisted" (Yellow 3 lobe strands) is the best trimmer line.

When I run out of what I got that's what I'll get.

I hope so. Just have to trim some small stuff that gets in the way when mowing. But then Ive got some holly bushes that need trimming and they are like dealing with barbed wire fence.

Have yet to run a trimmer, don't intend to (our yards are small) but I'll try to remember this if I do!

You get the shop vac yet? Been eyeballing it for awhile seeing as how I need nothing else, just not sure if I should even bother and just get a standard plug in later on.

I've used the little mini shop vac's of theirs (but don't own one) they're okay, suction is decent but they are mostly convenient in places without power and due to small size but that also means small capacity. The run time isn't great though on one 5ah battery.

For something like a vacuum plug in is still king IMHO.

Plug in for anything is king, really.

Just constantly telling myself I don't want to run extension cords

I'll need one anyway for other things :bananadead:
