Yea, besides making a bolt shorter to fit into the opening and sit flush, and then welding it, I have heard of them doing the same thing with a cut down allen wrench piece. But bolts are cheaper.

Be damn careful with those…i snapped two off on tuesday trying to get two different rusty bolts out and then ruined about 12 drill bits trying to get through them

Just put the boat in the water yesterday! Returned from a cruise to Bermuda on June 5th . Was an awesome trip .

 

Hoping this will do the trick to extract that pesky drain bolt. I also special ordered new fill and drain plugs through Lexus that have an attachment on them so I can use a regular wrench instead of having to use that hex bit. Will attempt to remove it on Monday (next day off)

Wellllll it was the only set they had in stock, and my plan is to either hang onto it if it works, but if it doesn’t— return it for the $8 it cost me, lol
