2000 PreRunner Fender Flare molding

I'm looking for options. Has anyone found a rubber trim molding that works well on the 1st gen. Tacoma fender flares? The ones that came on my Tacoma look like a door edge guard type molding but I just can find the right one to replace them all? Let me know what you have found that hold up well. Thanks....

You're going to need replacement clips if you remove the fenders. The old plastic breaks. They are a pain to get the old ones out.. Take your time. There are red and blue ones.. Someone had a link to some non-OEM clips- which are just fine. They can be a bit pricy for OEM ones by the time you add them all up.

The new "pads", as toyota calls them, will have a small adhesive strip. So clean up the edge of the flare with alcohol to remove the old residue. I found that the new rubber is the correct length, so take care not to tension the rubber as you apply it.

The parts you listed are for an entirely different type of fender flare. The factory flares that I have do not have any plastic clips. Just flange bolts around the wheel opening.

A couple of screws on the bottom edges, and then clips up around the top.

** Unless the photo you posted is not from your truck. In which case, why would you do that?

Or you could also put your vin in and or call a Toyota dealership if you don't like free internet help.

It does look similar but I have no mounting holes for clips on my fenders or quarter panels. I have pulled the flares off to paint them so I can see there are no clips. I was hoping to buy a roll of molding rather than order all the 4 individual pieces that are pre-cut and sold by Toyota.
