You can take him to a vet they will see if he has a chip to scan.

 

Call animal control, they can drive to you and scan the dog for a chip.

 

id also check you towns website or call them to see if someone called in a missing dog. maybe do the next town or 2 over as well just incase he walked far.

 

I took him to the vet this morning and he's not chipped, which they consider surprising since he's an expensive dog, a Husky/GSD mix. Damn but this little guy ticks all my boxes in what I want for a dog and he's really attached to me. If I sit down, he's right there beside me. He won't even eat if I leave the room. He's been crate trained. I got a 4'x3' crate from a customer that was moving and gave it to me as a tip. I set it up and put a old comforter in it along with his water bowl. When I took a shower last night I came out and he was laying in the crate. He also spent the night in the crate with the door shut and he had no complaints (since the crate is by my bed).

The vet gave me a couple of websites to look at and I'm going to see if I can put up some fliers at the local convenience stores for due diligence, but if I'm honest, a lost dog with no chip that ticks all my boxes on the type of dog I want just turns up in my yard...right when I was considering getting another dog? I kinda sense divine providence here. I really want to keep him, but my damn honor won't let me with out making a good faith effort to find his family. I kinda hope they were the ones that pepper sprayed him to drive him off.

I'm praying for it to be. The little hellion has peed on my floor enough to make it his own, lol. Maybe the his old family drove him off because he's incontinent. Hope not, cause that would kind of be a deal breaker for me too, but he is just a puppy so I think that's all it is.

 

Bell train him @Taco No Baka we trained our puppy with it and she is just over a year old and still hits the bells to go out. Have to teach them that when they hit the bell it’s not play time just potty or they will get confused and want to ring it to go play also.

Oh, and I was wrong, he isn't neutered, his balls just ain't dropped yet which explains why he still keeps trying to get it on with the female dog in the house. Still, he's too young to actually do the deed, but that doesn't stop them from trying since she's in heat and a little slut besides.

 

The Vet said he's a Husky/GSD mix. I'm calling him Wolfgang, lol.

 

He is a good looking dog. I thought maybe you would call him OGD original gangsta dawg

 

LMAO, that would fit with my naming practices, except OG never meant Original Gangsta. It meant OD Green Taco (OGT) and Old Green 4Runner (OG4).

He's gonna be a big'un too. We figure he's maybe a year old at most. He's still teething, but he weighs almost 27 lbs and has some massive paws.

 

Its sad. People prob dropped off the dog on the side of the street. shit happens all the time. It seems like he will be a good pup for you.

 

I really hope so but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high. I can't imagine anyone abandoning him though. According to the vet it would cost someone a good chunk of cash to buy a dog with his mix. On the other hand, like I said, he doesn't seem to be the type to run off. I've read Huskies are notoriously clingy and he definitely has that trait. He's definitely not going to be a happy camper when I have to go to work tomorrow night and he has to spend a few hours in the crate.

Damn, all those prices are cheaper than what I pay for a Purolator Boss filter. I am going to switch to WIX now that I found out O'Reilly's carries WIX.

 

I think I'm going to run the Baxter remote oil filter in the 3rd gen. Most likely with the largest Wix filter that will fit. I don't know why, but the cartridge filter bothers me. May do a formoto valve too, depending on skid plate coverage

 

Been working on a conversion.

prerunner to 4wd. Pretty simple just time consuming. Had to fab up a new crossmember and will need to make extensions for the driveshaft support. Solid tube and fj case so no pesky electronics to mess with
