    Mostly dust and dirt.
The other day I noticed that the bottom of my rear view mirror seemed to be flaking. Anyone else have this happen?

Is this a non powered mirror, you flip to dim style? If so, this is quite common with this style of silver backed mirror. My wife's Impreza mirror was useless after a couple if years, so I replaced it with an autodimming mirror with a built in compass. Much nicer...

I had a 01 tundra that had the dim flip type mirror. No problem in 19 years. So far my 2020 tacoma rear view mirror with the compass has been ok.

Had that happen with my ‘15 Tacoma. So far it hasn’t been a problem with my ‘20 Tacoma.
