    my 4 banger celica sounds like a poorly tuned v8 with a choppy cam

    All the injectors are firing

    The distributor, cap, and rotor is on right

    the plugwires are in the right order

    The plugs are off my camry that was running great

    There are no codes

    I ordered a new distributor and o2 sensor because idk wtf else to do

    International bed. Think the angle of this picture makes things look odd. Frame was as clean as the one on my 04. Would be cool to drop a 12 valve in it.

    @Blue92

    Nah.. I'm getting over being pissed at it. I'm 95% sure my problem is with the u-joint on the intermediate shaft binding up and making it hard to steer. I've found a few others reporting the problem this year on the FB group UJZ100. It seems like age-related wear items crop up in waves that start hitting the high volume (98-00) years first. This seems to be the first wave of a new wear issue.

    I'm hoping to swap the intermediate shaft this week. I often wish I had something smaller like a 3rd gen 4Runner to get down tight trails. Then I can't complain about 15 MPG for something that weighs over 7,200 lbs with two adults. Some buds all concluded the time when we like our behemoth rigs the most is on the 17+ hour trip home from somewhere out west. Hopefully, after this, it will go back to being the gentle giant.

    The king sticker is on a bud's 99 model LX. He raves about how it rides.

    He and his family are all from CA and make long road trips out there and back. I'm looking forward to riding in it. Are the rear shocks on the LC80 and LC100 the same length? They share the same spring.

    The 80 in the picture with the tent and Dometic is badass. Lifted and triple locked. It was out crawling rocks at Hot Springs ORP a couple of weeks ago.

    It's just the steering intermediate shaft covered in AR mud mixed with Texas red clay. It will wash off. It just looks bad. But I'm learning that when I go out mudding, to grease the u-joints as soon as I get home to push out any water and mud that may get past the seal. If that shaft u-joint could be greased, then it would be ok.

    The new one looks like this.
