Well, back to the drawing board. The guy selling those wheels & tires is a flake.

Sucks that the Costco guy turned you off but those Michelin Defenders are an excellent tire. After listening to all the praise for them here I gave them a try. I 100% agree with every positive review , they have been worth every cent.

My spare is new & is a 70 series so I will probably stick to that.

ARB Snorkel, sliders, Billy 6112's & 5160's, Riderites with Daystar cradles, 255-85-16 ST Maxx's.
Been running 255-85-16 Cooper STMAXX for a few years now, mighty impressed with them & when they wear out, I'll be getting exactly the same replacement. Great on snow & ice & blew my mind with their ability in slop.
My previous experience was a lifted LT1 injected Jeep CJ7 locked front & rear with 37" Swamper SSR's. BFG 33-9.50's in the winter.
So many times I thought I'd be getting the Taco stuck & they just kept pulling.
Almost silent when new onroad, but they do get louder as they age.

As someone who has owned Ironman All Country AT tires, they are not very noisy, at least compared to the Toyo Open Country AT II's that I just put on. Granted, I bought my truck with the Ironman's, so I might be saying they are not noisy only because they're significantly quieter than my current tires.

Hmm.haven't really had them in any muck. Don't really get to offroad anymore, but for what I use them for they're great.

I had a third generation TRD Off Road but never had a chance to drive it in much snow. I bought a set of third generation TRD Off Road wheels with the Goodyear Kevlar tires with 7/32 tread for the second generation TRD Off Road. They were quiet but scary on snow. I would have to use 4WD to get away from stop signs. Had to use a light foot in light rain. I had a livestock trailer with six cows and a bull hooked to the Taco and it barely made it out of an area with short wet grass in 4WD. I replaced them with a set of Primewell ATs. A local tire chain’s low priced brand. This is the second set of those tires to use on the trucks I use to drive in the fields and on turnpikes. A little noisy but dang they do well in light snow, rain and on wet grass. Not promoting this brand but the dealer thinks the Goodyears got hard. He sells Goodyear.

Well, I move slow & just got around to getting this done. Finally got the struts & shocks replaced & 4 wheel alignment. I've been searching tires to death & then my son called me. He has a friend who sells 2022 TRD dealer takeoffs w/ Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT tires that have 0 miles. Went yesterday & bought them for cheap! Price included the Toyota TPMS sensors but all he had was 3rd gen sensors. He's mailing me the sensors, should have them in a few days. Not really the tires I wanted but couldn't pass up this deal. The other 3 are in garage. I got the set-up cheap enough I could change the tires later & still be good.
