    Without getting into the "why's" does anybody know if there is a source to read up about DOT?

    Sort of like a DOT for dummies kind of book.

    Things like basic driver requirements and vehicle requirements - nothing too crazy.

    I've seen the DOT manual and it's as thick as a tacoma tire.
