Just checking to see what the general consensus is.
I have the 3/4 s rings from Ironman 4x4 and the bullet proof fab mounts on my truck. There is enough space that I would be concerned about slop in a recovery. Has anyone used the Heavy duty rubber bushing or would it be safe to use heavy duty grade 8 washers to fill the space ?

I got thick steel washers for spacers. However grade 8 would be over kill.

I just figured taking up space would help keep things from getting tweaked sideways…

Angling a bit is more beneficial shackles are not ment to be side loaded, the bell should take all force and the pin should take load inline perpendicular to it's axis.

Shackles should only be installed when in use and should be removed after recovery.

Pins can come loose from vibration and a shackle and pin bouncing down a rock face are not going to be a good time.

But boy do they look cool installed for Instagram!

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
If you only use your shackles on one location you could do what you want.

My gear is used in many different applications plus more parts to lose.

shackles falling of on the trail are not bad going down the highway behind the vehicle they fell off can be exciting.

Just run it. You’re not gonna hurt anything having alittle slop.
