Hey i just bought some used wheels for my tacoma, they were previously on a 2018 stock height tacoma. The wheel size is 275/65/r18 but i am not sure about the fit on the front wheels. It looks like the inside of the tire gets pretty close to the upper control arm. I was just wondering if a leveling kit would help this or if i an even at risk at all with anything. Hopefully someone can help, thanks!

You need a bit more offset on your wheels to get the tire away from the UCA. The tire doesn't touch now? when you drive around do you notice any dirt rubbed off on the UCA?
A lift won't fix the problem of clearance, your shocks will compress if you offroad, and the UCA will be back in the same location.

That's the tire size you call out.

Are the wheels Toyota or aftermarket?

The tire doesnt touch when its on (the wheels are sitting in my garage right now) and i have not driven more than the length of the driveway with them on. I suppose i could test them out for a day or two and see. Any suggestions if it were to rub? Or if i were to take it offroad? Thanks for the tips!

Some 1/2 wheel spacers would give you the extra clearance if you do rub on the UCAs, make sure they are hub centric.
Do you know what wheels they are and the offset of them ?
I’d take them for a drive before getting to worried about rubbing.

They are DAI wheels, not sure what the offset is, maybe there is a label on them. Id have to check it out after work. I have heard mixed opinions about spacers and that they can be sketchy. That may be my best option though. I will definitely drive it first for sure just to see.
