Leer Cap - Window Removal

    Can anyone confirm that in this terrible picture, the bolts shown are what hold the windows of the cap in place? I'm going to be paint matching my cap soon, and I'm debating if I'm going to remove the windows to do the work. My only concern with removing the windows is that it would then expose the carpeted backside of the shell.

    Yep.
    Correct. The inner retainer the screws are going though hold the window in place. Pull the screws, pop the retainer off and *gently* push out the window.

    Striped my cap to paint it with Monster liner a few years ago. Mask the cutouts with some cardboard/newspaper/etc and some tape. There will be a .5"/.75" lip where you can attach the tape - this area will be under the window frames when installed.

    Perfect, thats good to know. I would much rather remove the windows for a little easier masking and a cleaner overall job.
