Trying to decide if I go 285’s or 35’s. Opinion’s welcome!

Suspension is looking great! How are you liking Kings? Also how are the dirt king LCAs and UCAs? Have you gotten a cab mount chop or relocation?

The suspension is excellent; I need to get a rear bumper and plan on a cargo glide in the rear to help with how stiff the deavers are. The dirt kings are solid! I also want to gusset the spindle to beef that weak point. No, I haven't cab mount chopped yet, and that's part of my deciding process of going to 35’s...

Sounds like a pretty solid setup, gonna be amazing. I recently got a full king setup and I totally agree it is amazing. I went with 285s and so far its been awesome no complaints. Offroad I havent had any issues or felt like I needed to go any bigger and I think it looks great. I do still need to get a cmc though because I have a little bit of rubbing.

Nice! What tire are you running? And is it a 285/70/17 or 285/75/17? I'm thinking of going with the ultra terrain because I ran that on my gen two and liked it. I'm also considering the Duratrac.

Currently running 285/70/17 Nitto Grapplers, so far have been great but I think I am going to go to 285/75/17 general grabbers next. I have heard great things about those tires. I like to stick with all terrain

About to install the ecgs bushing to fix the vibration issue. I did the diff drop but have a really bad vibration at 25mph and 80mph. Fingers crossed this fixes it.

I’m running the Rough Country 3.5 Vertex coil overs. 285/70/17 KO2. -12 offset dirty life. I had some concerns.
    1. Rub, how much trimming was going to need to be done?
    2. Cab mount chop possibility?
    3. TSS sensor issues with the height difference?

I’ve got just over 1000k miles on the set up and so far so good. Zero trimming needed. Only had it off-road a handful of times, but nothing major by any means. I was skeptical about Rough Country at first but the more you dig the more positive info and reviews about how they’ve changed their product quality. Small sample size but so far the equipment has given no issues

Going in I had so many question marks on what I was going to have to do. Was genuinely trying to decide if I had to do the CMC, would I. Luckily it didn’t need it. That said, being a new owner trying to figure out the set up is tough. You hear so many sides to the stories. Makes me wonder if each individual truck has its own small indifferences that allow more or less to be done.
Drktacoma, roof rack looks good. What you running? Cali Raised?

    Are your on a 285?

Thank you! It's a company called AL Offroad, they're out of Dallas TX. Super cool company and products! They not only make roof racks but tail gate inserts with cup holders, pretty legit.
