Zurich Shield

Hey guys

I have a 22 TRD OR being delivered tomorrow with pickup on Saturday. The dealership asked me if I wanted Zurich Shield added. Is this something I should get? Why or why not. This is the first new vehicle I have ever bought.

I'm in Michigan if that matters.

 

Sounds like the typical "protection package" dealer scam. This is the third or fourth hit when you Google "Zurich Shield":

Generally any dealer offered accessory Be it insurance, vehicle accessory or treatment are all high profit items for the dealer and can be purchased separately elsewhere cheaper.

Have no idea what type of protection plan that one is, but i had the simoniz one done on my truck back in 2020. Imo, it was well worth the $650 they charged. I had nothing done like that on my old tundra and it showed after a few years.

 

According to Google: Zurich Shield is an environmental protection sealant that is designed to protect the interior and exterior of your car from normal wear and tear that occurs during the life of a vehicle. Exposure to the elements, pollution, and regular use will all wear down your car, inside and out.


This sounds like shit that the dealership is trying to sell, that is probably pretty worthless.
