    Hello everyone,
I have 210K miles on my 2008 6 cylinder truck. The body is flawless which I love about these trucks. I see so many Chevy's, Ford's, and Dodge's out there that are rusty after a couple of year, especially here in Minnesota but my truck is still rust free and looks great.

So here is my question---with 210K on my truck, what are all the things I should really look at right now with the engine and drivetrain? I have already done the struts, the wheel bearings, among other things.

So what else should I be doing?

I should add that I have changed ball joints and control arms.

Anything can be worn at this point Internally but they can keep going if you maintained in well this whole time

thanks for the reply but I guess I was wondering if there was anything that sticks out that for sure should be taken care of? Do people actually flush out the radiator? I have seen some that said they would never do that. I have not done anything with Timing yet either.

Change all the fluids out if they haven’t been done/have record of these being done. Grease the drive shaft.

You have a timing chain and does not require the service a timing belt does. Not too many people have had it stretch out to the point of failure but there is a plate on the timing cover that can be easily removed to tell how much stretch you have (you can see the tensioner and determine this). I’d leave the timing chain alone.

Keep doing what you've been doing.

I wish the paint had held up better on my 07. I'm at 225,000 with no mechanical issues and the body is in decent shape. Mine has been used hard as a truck and there are some minor dings and scratches here and there. But the paint is peeling in several places. I will eventually get mine repainted, but am going to try to get a few more years out of it 1st.

Drain / fill all the fluids if you like
    clean the throttle body
Take the drive belt off and spin all the pulleys, see if any are rough or noisy

Congrats on 200k+ miles. Great that's it's rust free. Same with my 2007, and I live where it snows. From what I've seen, although Tacoma frames are prone to rust - the bodies are not. Don't know why, but good!

Hopefully you'll eventually hit 250k miles without too much trouble.

In the last year or two, I’ve had the Trans & front & rear differentials serviced. A new fuel pump, front rotors pads & calipers, rear drums & shoes - new head, fog & tail lights - and just recently the timing chain & water pump. Bought it 8 years ago w/ 28k and I now have 203k miles.
I’d like to get it under coated (again) and replace the interior carpet.
Should be good for a few years now, I hope
