Yeah. Wouldn't trade my daughter for the world, but to each his own.

I have a daughter, 19 and my son is now 18. My son starts college this Fall.
We're working on his loans and such now. He's very bright but also seams to
be lazy if you ask me. I told him the other day if he finishes college and gets
good employment and pays his loans he gets a new car. I'll help with the loans
too but I'm not telling him that yet.
My daughter doesn't want to go to college. She's smart and capable but she would
sit or lay in her bed 20 hours a day on her phone and I was always telling her to
get a job and do something with her life. Well, she got tired of hearing me rant
and left here to go live with her boyfriend just a couple months ago. BTW my
wife and I both like him, he's probably the only one she dated that we liked.
She's now working full time and when I talk to her she sounds genuinely happy
so maybe she/we did something right. Time will tell.
She's already on a waiting list for an apartment and is so exited!
I'm really happy for her and I hope she continues to do the right things.
I was concerned, to put it mildly, but things are looking up.
    They're growing up!
Raising kids was the most challenging thing I ever did in my life, the four
    legged ones are easy.

For several years I had a full keel sailboat docked in Rocky River. Sailed
Lake Erie almost daily. Yes, I enjoyed it, good memories, But I can't say
I miss it. Lots of work in Spring and Fall.
    Now I have 2 kayaks. :D

I'm glad those that have chosen to follow normal biological patterns are enjoying their offspring and I begrudge you nothing. It's truly needed for the species to (d)evolve. I've heard the same "I wouldn't trade it for the world" and "It's different when they are yours" from almost everyone I know. I'm sure it is. I'm also sure I wouldn't trade my decision not to have kids for the world. Different strokes and all that.

There are animals in the wild that do not reproduce. A lot of people act like having/raising kids is a special accomplishment. It isn't. Theres over 7 billion of us, and I've encountered a ton parents that were not...ahem...*talented*. Usually people hold that crap up because they have nothing else to their identity, which is incredibly sad. IMO, people with kids need to stop giving so much shit to people who don't desire them.

    Now stop eating brillo pads.

When humans become asexual reproduction able it's gonna be a scary world.

I'm really hoping the throat thing is psychosomatic. I know it's not but I'll keep hoping anyway. It's kinda working for BBIG so stick with what you know. lol

Damn, new Megadeath coming in SEPT. Sweet. With FFDP and Lamb of God also releasing new albums this fall it's gonna be a good year.

I would trade it. Daily the idea comes up "what if." Some days when they are being big pieces of shit, I go back to a time when I could go out and drink and not think about the things I have at home that I need to make good choices for.

Oh, and the nearly 30K a year that goes into feeding, clothing, and schooling them. They're expensive creatures, especially when you send them to private school in hopes they are smart enough they don't need your money for college.
