    Morning!

I am looking to wire a USB cord to a MagSafe Phone Charging Dock from Course Motorsports. Ive seen a few folks wire it from the cigarette lighter > glove box > behind the radio > through Right Driver AC Vent > connect to the charger, but I was curious if this was the only way to feed a cord from a power source to the MagSafe Charging Pad.

I have searched the forums, but cannot find the info just quite yet, so if someone found it before me, just paste the link if you dont mind!

If you want it on all the time, you could run a fused wire straight of the battery, through the firewall, and straight to the charger. If you want it to come on/off with the car, you'll need to use a switched source, like one you listed. Some other people may know some better sources for power, that's just the general rule of thumb on wiring stuff.

it shouldn't need to be switched. the charging pad shouldn't pull any measurable amount of power unless a phone is on it.
