    Howdy folks,

First time poster here checking in from NJ. Just recently switched over to a 2018 Tacoma TRD OR from a 2001 Cherokee XJ. I’ve spent many years on Jeep forums solving Jeep issues and I’m excited to get into the nitty gritty with the new truck.

I’m a Virginia Tech graduate (hence the name) and spend most of my time outdoors fishing or biking. If anyone in NJ/PA/NY wants to fly fish, mountain or gravel bike, let me know! Most weekends I’m camping doing any of those.

I’ve got plans to build a DIY camper for this truck based on the Ripcord plans so you’ll see me on that thread a lot. I’ve got the ARE MX on there now which is sweet, but definitely leaves something to be desired.

Thanks for reading and happy trails!

I actually wanted an extended cab but Tacos are somewhat hard to come by in my area for a good price so I settled for the long boi. Driving around town is wayyyy different coming from an XJ with the same length and width as a Honda Civic.

Oh yeah it’s been great for camping. Haven’t even had it for a month and I’ve got 6 nights in it.

I’m actually looking to sell it for the diy camper im planning on.

Sad part is pre-COVID I remember haggling over a 2017 extend cab, long bed sport (in 2018) with like 20k miles and I couldn't get the price down from $32k haha boy if I knew what would happen just a few years later that truck went up in price so much.

Still happy with my little guy though, my son sitting in the back isn't as thrilled ; )

    Welcome to TW have fun!
