What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I went from 3 vehicles down to 1, so my Tacoma is the only vehicle ATM. And boy am I missing being able to leave the Tacoma on jack stands for a few days doing projects. I was actually trying to get the drums painted and the truck back on the ground in under 2 hours. Mission accomplished. If I knew 100% the truck wasn't going to fight me, I would have pulled them off.

But, if I was going through the trouble of pulling them, I would have probably just had them blasted and powdercoated. This is why stuff always snowballs for me, haha

 

You gonna put some cupcake batter in there and park in the sun? Make your truck smell all vanilla warm and fuzzy inside.

 

Getting a little bit closer to being able to wheel like I want. Added the TRD skid plate. Got a bit of a discount from the local dealer.

 

Driving through the construction zone, pulled this from my dash cam. this is the flag man as traffic just drives past

 

ya think they get 2x hazzard pay for this? 1x for standing in traffic, 1x for being on the phone?

 

At least he was labeled correctly.

I finally installed the bed stiffeners that have been sitting in my garage for a year at least. I cant recall who made these, cali raised maybe? Anyway, huge improvement. Love em.

It measures out at 45 & 1/4” inches. Its the latest design by yakima i think. They made about 4 or 5 different styles.
Im actually going to swap this fairing out with one by these guys soon….

Not to mention that ALL 3rd gen Tacoma's leak condensate into the cab if you run the AC while a window is cracked or the sunroof cracked or open, recirculation is off. Y'all may want to check that passenger-side floorboard for rust.

 

Cali raised wishes their stiffeners were this awesome! They are made by Tttacodan, I have a set as well and love them. Some satin black paint applied with a small brush makes easy work of them shiny bolt heads, cuz cant risk the chance of getting blinded by some random glare from the bed of course

AC, geez it's barely warm here in the PNW. had mine 2 months and haven't used it. Got out the paste wax and got the front end 2 coats
