Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s steep and loose.

…and I almost rolled in a samurai a long time ago but the fear is real.

 

I don't think it's possible to show how steep it is in picture or video. lol

I was trying to figure out an angle this weekend. I guess it's just one of those things you gotta see for yourself.

 

The drop in at the beginning is pretty dang steep and off camber too... but at least there's traction on it.

 

Took me forever to edit the videos from this past weekend. 4 day trip turned in to a 49 minute video.

I split it up in to 5 videos.... and it's still taking FOR-EVER to upload on to YouTube. Started the uploads last night... 13 hours later... 4 of them still uploading




I told Jen. "I split them up in a 5 part mini series... like Centennial or Lonesome Dove"

She said... "Really, like Lonesome Dove?"

She didn't seem very impressed with that comparison

 

If you render your video file as an MP4 it will upload faster than other formats. Shoot me PM if you want some help speeding up your workflow.

 

FOR REAL... I will definitely need to PM you.

I'm super new at this... honestly, don't know what the hell I'm even doing really. Just tryin to stumble through it and learn as I go. (That's really the way I learn the best).

It's pretty fun though, really. I'm not a photographer, never done any editing before, like 2 weeks ago... but I'm really interested in it, it's fun... even when I f up and think I screwed up, and lost all my progress (that really happened while editing this last round of videos).

I'm committed to trying to do this "YouTube Channel" thing. Not really with delusions of grandeur. More for documenting the good times with friends and seeing what level of quality I can get up to.

But at this point my schtick is probably going to be like... "Hey come follow me, my videos may kind of suck, but they don't suck as bad as some others I've seen... Follow along and see what kind of progress I make, or don't make."

This is the latest video. It's day 1 of our 4 day Niagara Rim Trial trip last weekend.

Not a whole bunch going on in the video. Mostly driving and then setting up camp (which is pretty much what last Thursday was = evening camping leaving after work on Thursday)

What I was trying to accomplish was just some transitions from one shot to another and hitting video marks on audio marks.

EDIT*** I also did the intro from scratch, recorded audio and stitched it together with some of the basic features from DiVincci Resolve.

Totally dig the video and your intro was awesome.
I’ve been using Luma touch and I know the struggle is real when editing lol It’s a lot of fun making videos I’ve been trying to get better at filming and it ain’t easy. But excellent video you got a subscriber out of me!
