I think I'm gonna start pulling parts and pieces off my truck, heading in the direction of selling it.

Sliders, topper/rack, amber fogs, steel skid etc. Having a camper/2nd place to store stuff I dont really need the protection of a topper right now.

Plus I kinda want to see how the truck looks, "naked" and not weighed down.

They aren't mine, I do like them though!!! I'd love to have a 2nd set for summer but I don't want to deal with the pressure monitor system :annoyed:

The new thread title ... this will hurt most people's brains.. but the glass is always full. The varying combination of air and water.

And extra set of TPMS and the scan tool isn't beyond you.

    Probably a "Golden Eagle" model.
The 304 V8 was optional in the CJ line, a neat thing about the AMC V8 engines is that they are externally identical -- you can remove a 304 and bolt in a 360 or 401.
A stock 304 in a CJ is quite a package, a 401 would be :burnrubber:

My brother had a CJ5 with a 304 in it when we were in school, it would drink 1/4 of a tank just going there and back

If the first thing you notice about a new room is the number of fire exits… you might be a Murphyist. If you look at a glass and see it not as half-full (optimist) or half-empty (pessimist) but as something that might spill on you… you might be a Murphyist

Optimist: Expects the best to happen and is surprised and unprepared when it doesn't. This is the guy who goes 4 wheeling without even a shovel.

Pessimist: Expects the worst to happen and is prepared when it does, if the worst doesn't happen the Pessimist is pleasantly surprised. This is the guy who always had a "plan B", perhaps even a "plan C" just in case.

I think most good maintenance people fall toward the pessimistic side. ;)

I have read that the Realist deals with the situation when it occurs. :notsure:

By that explanation I must be a pessimist. I always go in overprepared. But in day to day I'm just gonna go in with a level head and hope for the best.

It was a manual transmission too!
Back way before street outlaws (of course people have raced since the automobile was invented) television, we used to go to a long length of road to watch the spectacle ...one of the most impressive vehicles I seen run out there was a 4x4 CJ, he run it in 4x4 of course for traction he was faster than one would ever guess. A little nuts too with the way that thing moved around grabbing gears.
