You can try chemical guys VRP (vinyl rubber plastic) protecter. I use it diluted in a spray bottle on practically everything. The bed , rear bumper, floor matts etc etc

My cover has faded to a light grey. I was even using 303 spray. It looks pretty bad when you see the grey against the black rubber on it.

^This. I use this stuff for my boat & inflatable kayaks. Works great for keeping the black plastic fenders on my TRD OR looking like new.

One word of advice - be careful using this stuff in the presence of a smooth floor. It will make your floor so slick that you will slip, fall & call for help when you can't get up.

I'm 99% sure the answer is no, but I wonder if factory warranty covers the drastic fading.

Absolutely not. Fading is not a defect, it's from wear and constant exposure; no way would that be Toyota's fault in workmanship.

I used this on a tonneau cover I got from offer up and it looks brand new now. Haven't driven in rain yet so I can't tell if it will hold up.

Just curious but do you guys have aftermarket or OEM tonneau covers? Cause I feel like different brands will have different results per cover

There are many decent things you can spray on it, but you have to re-apply fairly often. I just bought my 2016 and it has a tri fold tonneau cover. As it was off, and in their garage since purchase, it looks ok. When it starts to fade, I am going to plasti dip it and see how it turns out. I painted my F150 a few months ago and I cannot say enough good things about the plasti dip. It came out so cool, I am thinking about shooting the Taco.
