Before and after, so far. First thing, I always change all the fluids and filters, so that was done, and it's always such a good feeling when you CAN, I just won't touch anything after about 2000, just ridiculous trying to get to the basics. The hood has an old bullet hole (NOT from me lol) I will try and weld up later on, been a long time since I welded anything and I want to practice a bit before a repair.
I had a Tundra I loved but sold for this, kept the bed rails and installed them. Not really an easy feat but I used rivet nuts for better strength. Not much room to work with either, my Jack is sitting on the wheel well. The tonneau cover tighteners were hard to get down as well due to it hitting the rail but I got it to work. I had to remove the rear fasteners to move them back to get around the rails and my ammo can, easy peasy. I used Rustoleum in the bed at first, and as stated in prior threads it is very light use only. So I went and got Hercules and it is SO much better.
I added the side steps/sliders and painted the old rims, even added that red for the Yota haha. Got new speakers and head unit, gotta have tunes! Next was the intake, the old one had something living in it at one time! Yeah it's a cheapo (50 bucks) but I just cannot fathom spending 300+ bucks for some pipe, I can always get a new filter when this one's time is up. The coolest (IMO) is that under hood light, I got it years ago at a junkyard from an old Ford I think, it works amazing and the fact it can unwind, even as far as the rear of the truck makes it a cool little accessory! I used an old speaker magnet to keep it mounted as well as give it some maneuverability and a small magnet on the extended light to put it anywhere it's needed.
I pulled all the interior out to get a good deep clean, this truck was pretty well taken care of, I am impressed. I know so many like those crazy headlights but I guess I am more of a purest and got some H-4 bulbs with glass inserts, I did upgrade to LED type bulbs all around though. Got some pre-cut tint off Amazon, fits nice, anything wrong is definitely user error but it IS 26 years old and I am less concerned with perfection as I am with functionality. I will repaint it at some point, a blue, due to it being closer to the original color so I don't have to do jams and under the hood. Eventually, at a later date I will pull everything but I would do a rhino line type under the bonnet for good wear resistance. Reading a lot of threads here, I have decided against the whole truck being lined as it is my daily plus off road, not that I intend on ever selling it.
Next up will be bucket seats and center console, I like places to put stuff, could use a new headliner as well, had a hole that the grey duct tape hides well. Also new suspension will be in the works. I still have the shell, it'll work great for off the grid camping, as well as building a platform for next year. I am keeping all the old (usable) parts to go back to stock if I ever decided to as holy sh*t old parts are ridiculously expensive! Love the old tape player anyhow haha. I will continue to update as I progress.

220701: I hate how much some stuff is to replace, so I started up the 3d printer and made some wiper arm covers, next is a new fuse panel cover for the inside.

220827: Was gonna wait for bumpers but oh well, front and rear are done, snorkels done for some good cold air with the original intake, I added some small lights in the turn signal areas for the ARB and they are pretty nice. I had to shim them to get them straighter and then I wired them to the running lights, not sure if I want to keep them like that though. Also added some yellow fog lamps for the snow here, thought they were dumb until someone explained their purpose, snow, well it snows a ton here so I will be happy to have less glare! Front end dropped a bit (forgot to get the measurements) so I will get some new shocks and struts later on, springs are pretty heavy duty, I think it might have dropped only about 2-3"with that heavy bumper. The rear bumper did help to even it back out haha. 10K winch will get me out of anything I will get into. I know people are all about the Warn's but I couldn't justify that price for how much I will actually use it. The deer won't stand a chance against that bumper for sure!
220911: New OME 883's with Bilstein 5100's front and rear, added airbags, Always liked the diversity and ride from those. Also changed out the snorkel top to a round one for less crap flow.
New springs and greasable shackles to come soon. Lost almost an inch from settling, which is nice, it was sitting really high.
