    I just purchased a new Tacoma and had a problem reaching things that slid to middle of bed?Sorry (don't laugh) I am only 5'5" and this seemed to be an on going problem with me.So here is my quick fix and use it quiet often.Harbor Freight has them $1.99 right now!It fits right behind the seat in a double cab.

    Get ya one of these (Wmart) I use it to hit the top and the windshield and the hood as I can't reach up their either - keep it clean and it works like a champ.

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    I use a telescoping aluminum boat hook. Easily reaches stuff at front of bed under my tonneau. Stays in the bed.

    About 25 at places like a West Marine. I picked mine out of my neighbors trash. :anonymous:

    It had a significant bend in the larger tube that I was able to straighten enough to allow the telescoping feature to work.
