Ome heavy duty rear leaf springs. El112r. Canopy is semi camperized, pull out tool storage , solar power with rear agm deep cycle battery. Light bars. Front rear sides. Roof basket.
My truck is still plauged with the stereo issue where it just doesnt work. It can say it sure seems heat related to me. As a Canadian it works fine in the cold weather. But now it's warmer i have the issue much more frequent if not all the time. Dealership has lost the notes from before when the warranty was active and parts delay have pushed it back. Now they may not honor the diagnosis and warranty from before. Parts got ordered but waiting for more parts due to unrelated damage from a recall service. Long storys get shorter, has anyone found a fix? Seems to me like maybe a heat sink cold solder break. Or a break somewhere on a power supply wire? Any insight is great. Or an equivalent replacement size headunit i am open to. I want to get my subs in again

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes and connecting back or even replacing the battery itself for a new one? I used to have this same issue and I did both of these things but I can’t remember exactly which one did the trick.

I have yes but i dont mind trying again. Lol
Im wondering if there is a smaller internal battery like a watch battery for memory. Either way im more into just replacing it with aftermarket. Then i dont need to wire in the line out converter for rca hookups

I don't have an answer for you, but I also have a 2018, and my Bluetooth got to a point where it would disconnect every few minutes. I just got so sick of it I replaced the head unit and I was instantly happy.

I have a feeling they made a bunch of faulty entune units and unless it works without issue, I'd say it's not worth keeping.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
If Toyota will fix free, that's a consideration.

Otherwise its aftermarket time. The OE HU isnt worth spending any diagnostic time or dollars on.

I fixed my head unit before it was a problem with an aftermarket unit. $100 in wiring/dash adapter, and a $300 head unit, and it does everything I need without relying on a dealership.

Yeah, not making sense... Toyota wants $100 for diagnostic task while other shops offer free diagnostic...

If they will honor the previous diagnosis ans replace it under warranty then im fine and ill still probably replace it but at least ill have a factory working headunit to sell or whatever
