After getting a new set of wheels and tires and not bothering to have sensors installed, I tried simply unplugging the module to see if that would shut off the light on my dash.

    Spoiler: it doesn't.

SO I went ahead and did the gorilla tape mod. Out of sight, out of mind, right? But anyhoo, here's where to find it if anyone was wondering. Its not too hard to get to. Just remove some trim, a few bolts, peel back some headliner and you're there.

My light has been on for 7 years now.

BTW, prepare for the comments on how “not having a working TPMS is dangerous”.
    Welcome to the club. :fistbump:

Why did you not bother? did the oem sensors not fit the new wheels?

Haha nice. I thought about just letting it go, but that light was annoying the crap outta me.

Having the shop swap the sensors over would've cost extra and I check my tire pressure regularly anyhow. Didn't seem worth it at the time.
