Remember when

If memory serves, those were made by Tupperware and only could be purchased at a “Tupperware Party “ at someone’s house.

 

Seems about right…. I snagged mine from my moms house when I moved out…. I’m sure she gave it to me.

 

My mom had a Tupperware party, she got some free stuff out of hosting. I just remember all the drinking, smoking, and laughing , it was a thing back in the day.

 

Ya… they were nearing the end of their popularity by the time I became an adult

 

I remember those and I think mom had every piece from the catalog, cupboards and drawers full.

 

Remember being lured into someone's home with promises of drinks and good times only to find out it was an Amway party?


Or did that only happen to me?

 

Amway? They still sell that?

 

I'm not sure.
I think it was mostly a pyramid scam. And everyone was always at the bottom.

One meeting I used to attend gave out marbles on chip/medallions as well.

A friend of mine did that in the late 90s. He wasn't the super salesman type, just liked the products. He did have a small thing at his house one time but told us all up front what it was and worst case it was a chill night together with friends.

Spotted it right away.

 

I think I get it now... The numbers have always made perfect sense. But now I see.. the hieroglyphic linework looks kinda like a flower bud beginning to open. So you can only use this cup to measure flour! That's gotta be it right?
