    Hmmm…
Robert sadly I tried regular rattle can paint and it never worked for me. Then tried high heat barbecue paint and that worked a bit better but still rusted. Then one day going into the powder coater I saw they were getting ready to coat a very large propane storage tank that was made in to a trailer and converted in to a large grill / smoker. I then asked Hugo hey I thought Powdercoat didn’t hold up to heat above 400? He said it doesn’t but they now have a high heat or high heat resistant coating.
I had a set of drums coated and they are holding up.

I may end up doing that if I can find a flange for the MAF and the appropriate sized piping. I would like to eliminate the 5th injector as well so building a charge pipe would take care of that. Then like you said, whoever gets it would be that much closer

Thanks for the heads up sir! That’s just what I had on hand and they were super rusty so I figured it’d be an improvement. I will definitely get some better quality stuff if there is a next time. Maybe by then the truck will have discs

Hi! I am curious what color of green plasti-dip did you use for the grill surround?

    Perfect! thanks!
Sorry if I missed it. Any reason you decided to go back to the pre facelift?

I am super indecisive lol. I think I never painted the hood and it started looking grey, so i swapped it back over to the paint matched 05-11 hood. Having that painted is on the list to do, just haven’t gotten around to it yet

Installed a PTP turbo blanket today for the single scroll BorgWarner (which is what the v-band housing calls for per PTP).

Due to the way I had to clock the center housing, it’s rubbing on the wastegate actuator arm a little, but i threw it on anyways and we’ll see what happens. May end up trimming it later on if it starts causing issues.

Just pull that magnuson off the truck you’ve got and go turbo. You won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait till I have a proper tune for this thing, that’ll make a huge difference

Ok, If you get to welding up the exhaust manifold, down tube w/ exhaust system and charge tubing for the intercooler I can pull the Magnuson & header. We can then install the turbo system… = )
    Sound like a plan?

Leave the Maggy. Just pull the header and swap on a turbo. Twin charged FTW! (Then immediately build the engine.)

Come on over and let’s get to it;)

This is a much better idea :D

I’m hoping so, they tend to climb quickly when im not moving, so maybe this will keep that from happening as much

Ok, let’s figure out a way to pay for this all.
Would you all contribute to my GoFundMe account?
My family is nothing but poor white trash so no inheritance, I don’t buy lottery tickets and my God Damn employer won’t let me return to work! I got hurt at work and ended up needing a partial knee replacement, within a year had to have it replaced w/ a full knee replacement. (Bad 1st Dr. & you can’t go after Bad Dr’s for liability!) The second Dr. has a restriction “no crawling”. I have permanent nerve damage now. I drive a garage truck for the city I don’t need to craw but they refuse to let me return. So I have a limited budget, living off savings and selling off all my old Vintage MTB racing stuff. Don’t laugh at selling old bicycle parts. Had a set of NOS racing MTB wheels that sold new just over $600 I paid about $300 & sold them for over $1,200. Purchased 36 MTB racing tires back in the day on a blow out sale for $14.99 each just sold my last pair for $640. Just wish I wouldn’t have left about third of them setting in our hot AZ garage to dry rot. I still get emails asking if I have more. Tacoma’s are not the only things selling for stupid money!

    GiveSendGo, perhaps. But not GoFundMe.

Different company perhaps. You're resourceful. You'll figure it out, I am positive.

Ordered a flange from MRP performance for the MAF sensor for a 5.7 tundra and it’s going to work perfect for the 2TR. Got some 2.75” aluminum piping and bends on order and I’m waiting on the 1/8 NPT bung for the water methanol nozzle. Then it will be time to fab up a cold side charge pipe.

    Robert,
I’m sure you know more than me! I thought where the MAF sensor is installed is smaller than the rest of the intake tube? I remember reading it has to be a certain size for the air volume that flows pass the sensor. The intake tube on my supercharger is 2.75” OD. LCE used a piece of steel tubing. I swap the steel for Aluminum. One evening after a drive I pulled into the garage open the hood and leaned into the engine bay I placed my hand on the aluminum intake tube and almost burned my hand. I yelled out some F bombs! Now I have a piece of silicone tubing. I hope the silicone doesn’t heat soak like the aluminum and or steel. I swear I size of the pipe / tube where the sensor is, is smaller than 2.75”.

    :notsure:
