Wowzers! Was I supposed to spell check this? Haha

well hopefully all goes smooth and you can make it down for a bit. It has been a while since I seen a lot of faces, also have been pretty busy with work and my daughters travel ball. I’m not planning on staying to late this year just because Sunday morning I’m driving out to Colorado for a week for a travel ball tournament. So I’m thinking I’ll leave fiesta around 5ish.

Yes you were, please correct any and all mistakes and send me a copy ASAP!!
Haha, ok cool. I will be testing for a while so if I get done early enough Ill cruise out, but if you are bailing by 5 its not looking good since I would probably get there too late to enjoy it.
Well have a good time in Colorado dude and good luck to your girls!

I’ve only found videos for dropping the tank so far but if seen more people on here saying bed removal is easier so that’s what I’ll probably do. Is there any electrical I need to disconnect? Y’all can catch me and the 1st gen at gear heads Tuesday morning!

Only the sending unit for the fuel level sender and fuel pump power will need to be unplugged. Regardless of what they say I still think dropping the tank and using a floor jack to support it is easier, but either way works in the end.

Tacos have the easiest tank to drop...hoses are easy to get to and you have plenty of slack from the wiring after you drop it..

Any suggestions for a lazy weekend off road drive in the Julian area? Don't really want to go down to Borrego. Have looked at various apps (Gaia, etc) without really finding anything. Any local knowledge out there I'm missing?

    Thanks!

Boulder creek rd. runs from Descanso to Julian. nice trail very scenic.
If you're in Julian you enter pine Hills rd. Then turn Right on Blue Jay Dr. than keep left at the fork for Boulder creek Rd.

For those of you fellow San Diegans looking for a great 4th of July, there is a sanctioned Bike Ride and Run in Scripps Ranch. Newly added is a 28 mile Mountain Bike ride. See: www.srop.org

There will be in person registration if that is your choice on Sunday 7/3 at Hoyt Park.

Beer Garden for participants with an I.D. at least age 21

This event is 101% Volunteer Run for almost 30 years, proceeds go to youth athletics. Nice shaded areas in Hoyt Park with porta potties.

You drove the full length? I thought there was a closed gate close to Sunrise Hwy?

    Yes
buy a spot weld drill bit kit, it takes 30 seconds to drill through the spot welds with the proper bit and they will literally just fall off
