I’m pretty sure that’s a door lock barrel.
It holds the keyway/pins to conform with standard doorlock holes.
We had to have one made not too long ago because those commercial locks haven’t been made in 27+ years. I believe it’s a Yale but I’d have to look.

Yesterday evening my wife went to get her nails done, kids and I closed the store at 7:15 and I went in the house to find me some supper. Kids said they were going out to play since they had already eaten.

As I’m walking across the kitchen I hear baby girl crying and I see her running toward the house holding the side of her head. My hearing is awful so it had to be loud.

Cole puts wiffle balls on a traffic cone and hits them with his baseball bat. He didn’t know Sadie had walked up behind him and when he swung he hit her on the side of the head, full power. If you look close you can see the dent in that 14 karat gold ear ring.

    2206D726-2BC7-49B6-BEDD-6F21EAAF81AD.jpg

I immediately grabbed her up, told Cole to get something frozen out of the freezer and grab my phone. As we sat on the couch with me holding her and the frozen burrito on the side of her head I called my wife and ask when will you be home? She said what’s wrong. Told her.

She got home about an hour later. Sadie was trying to go to sleep and I kept talking to her to keep her awake and checking the spot to make sure it was okay.

When my wife got home she took Sadie to the bathroom to get her a shower and she threw up. Off to the emergency room we go.

They did a cat scan and said everything was fine but she has a small concussion. Praise God she’s okay.

We walked out of the hospital and Cole said dad look at the Cat fan.

As soon as we got in the car you could tell Sadie felt better. She’s totally fine this morning.

Thanks guys. As a parent it totally sucks when our kid(s) get hurt and there's nothing we can do about it. I thank God that she is ok, it could have been so bad.

I love the fact you and your son were able to maintain enough awareness to recognize and document a unique piece of equipment during this emergency :D

I’m glad your daughter is ok and on the road to recovery

We should know within a hour if this 3/4" shorter screw is going to work :fingerscrossed:
They really need this door operable.

The children's hospital has valet parking, we were waiting on the guy to fetch the car when we saw the fan. I'm sure that picture will cost us several hundred dollars

Seen a red fox eating a piebald deer on the way to work this morning. Haven’t seen many piebald’s around here.

Back when I first got my 2021 I swapped the spare around so I could just crawl under there and add air to the spare. Couple weeks ago I decided to do that to the newly acquired 2014. Yea, damn thing only had 17PSI. So, I was driving around a month or so on a basically flat spare o_O

Thanks! It was either a burrito or a 1 lb package of ground deer meat :anonymous:
