I have to work 37 1/3 minutes to make $20.00. The struggle is real.

I brought the replacement wiper blades $18 . Just so I could keep the factory whole wipers set. Replacing was a bit hard, slip one at a time work better for me. Keeping as a spare.

I also brought complete wiper blades at Costco ( made by Goodyear) $ 7.99 each, 20” 22” .

Gas at Costco last week was at $5.59, Costco , yesterday lower to $5.52. So I save 70 cents on 10 gals. Still couldn’t buy a hotdog at $1.50. So I save another 80 cents . Fill richer today.

Wiper blades standard rubber ones estimate life 6-12 months. Silicone wiper blades estimated life 1-2 years.

How long does our money last? 5 minutes? Went to O’ Reilly Auto parts yesterday for a replacement gas cap for a Ford Ranger, $19.00 with hanger , $18 with out. Got the hanger.

A gas cap really effects how the engines performs. Mines was worn out. I think they need to be air tight?

Wish it would rain so that I actually needed to use wipers, dry as a bone with water usage restictions and no rain for months.

I saw a Winston ad in Time magazine this week too, I had forgotten tobacco companies could still advertise in magazines. I guess print is desperate for those advertiser dollars.

can't remember exactly as it's been over two years ago, but it seems I paid about $15-$20 for a set installed at the dealership when it was in for oil change. Figured, sure I might find them cheaper somewhere else, but I was at the dealership already, they hand them in stock and I didn't need to get my hands dirty. No brainer for me.

And why over two years and whippers are still good you might ask. Well, it doesn't rain much here, ice and snow are rare and my cleaner tank has never been less than 3/4 full so it's used very little, plus my trucks in the garage whenever I'm at home. I remember living in Illinois where whippers never made it through winter.

Funny how quickly they got people to the point where they are "cheering" $4.00 bucks a gallon.

Hilo, Hawaii , Stands as rainiest cities in the USA averaging 156.79 inches a year. Wettest month is November, driest month is June.

You could say half the days in Hilo it is raining or cloudy.
    Learning to swim helps.
