I like the Rocky Mount cable and Bolt Lock. That’s what I use for camping.

At my age and with my injury history, most of my rides these days involve stopping to smell the roses and enjoying nature...

I do a combination of things. on my 1up, i use the wheel locks that i bought from 1up. I also use a 12' extra thick steel cable that I wrap through the wheels and frames that locks back to a u-bolt that's connected to the d ring in my truck bed. (I leave the ubolt connected). I then take my kryptonite chain lock and wrap it through one of the chainstays and lock it to my rack. If there's 2 bikes, I lock them together with the kryptonite chain. :) overkill? maybe. peace of mind? yeah.

    I like overkill…

Would have to see if I can get between the diamondback cover gasket and the tailgate to get to the tie down points in the bed but that would give another layer with the cover and tailgate locked. Or maybe run to the shackle or tow chain points on the bumper.

I’ve got a problem. However it’s not often you find a premier fork for 40-50% off. upload_2022-7-1_11-17-4.jpg

    That’s a great deal!

I’ve actually been wanting to get a bigger fork to throw on for steeper terrain. Too bad the fun/bike money I had is now going to my homeowners deductible :annoyed:

If only I knew a good insurance guy….

yeah, i've seen people tie on to the tow chain points. Works well as well! Probably a little more secure than the tie down points on the bed.

The builder tagged the A/C drain line when installing the siding. Two years later when we started noticing water seeping up through the floor I followed the emerging signs to the source.

Coulda been a helluva lot worse, but uninvited water in your home is never a fun thing.

The duct tape was the the first nail hole I found. After removing more saturated insulation I found where another nail blew through both sides of the pipe.

oh damn! That majorly sucks! That's a major miss on their part. Do you get them to cover the cost for a screw up like that or are you SOL'd from the builder?

SOL as far as I know. The home only had a 1 year warranty from the builder.

Choice was to pay 100% out of pocket to avoid guaranteed insurance rate increases by filing a HOI claim, or file and pay my deductible + the ensuing rate increases. For now we opted to go route #2. Replacing the flooring alone will be twice the cost of my deductible.

Supposedly the insurance company can go after the builder, but that’s purely hearsay.

Who’s got a decent torque wrench they like? Not super expensive but not an Amazon special either. I got an Amazon special and this pos doesn’t seem to be accurate above 5NM…ask me how I know

I have this one. Not sure how accurate it actually is, but it is a nice tool and works on both right and left-handed threads. https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-TRQ21...id=2528832011&s=hi&sprefix=torq,aps,88&sr=1-2

Oh man. Good luck. yeah, then the onus goes on the insurance company to somehow recoup cost, hopefully it doesn't come back on you too hard. if it's a newer build though, that sounds like it shouldn't have happened. At least it wasn't like a full rupture of a supply line. Still sucks though. Best of luck dude!

To honor Le Tour de France starting this weekend, I would like to make the following statement:

Rockshox updated their line up recently, i wouldn't be surprised if the old stuff is getting blown out at a healthy discount
