I decided to take the forum's advice and tuck my breather a little bit farther up from the ground. I opted not to run the breather up to the bed, taillight, etc. I only had a little over 3 ft of spare hose from an old project and it wouldn't be long enough for either of those spots.

Eventually, I found a pretty good place to mount the breather within the hose's reach. There's a small hole on the frame next to the spare tire that's just a little larger than the Dorman breather I bought. Its pretty much perfect. I felt around on the other side where the breather would ultimately be mounted and it was relatively free of dirt and debris. I figured this spot would work just fine.

I took a few pics of how I ran the hose. Its well out of the way and there's plenty of slack for axle movement. Excuse the last photo, my phone just would not focus, but you'll probably get the idea.
