First one was at the local shopping center, second one was from a random internet find.

I bought one of those, that year even, in 2008 for a bit of fun. Ultimately decided parking space was a premium and it didn’t do anything my FJ couldn’t. It was a bit rough and had obviously had a hard life.

Still, lots of fun driving it.

This is my favorite year and body style ‘83 long bed. No lift, 31” tires, topper…perfect old man truck.

My old ‘89 toyota 4wd pickup. I bought it sigjt unseen for $2000 from a coworker in 2012. I had if for a couple of years then sold it to a kid cause i had two other cars. Big mistake…..
It was a gem. When i bought it only had 128k on it, the brakes were locked up from sitting, bumpers bent, and the paint was shot. So i took bumpers off, sanded it and painted it with about 10 cans of rustoleum satin Merlot. Then i steel wooled it. Looked awesome. I got so many compliments on that ghetto paint job, seriously. The wheels i got when i went to mount up the bfg’s- american racing rims. 15” i think. They were on clearance for $50 each as it was the tire shops last set. So that was a no brainer. I said mount em!

Here is my 84. I repossessed it, yes I was a repo man, as a wreck in 87. The owner could no longer afford it so of course he took an axe to it before we picked it up. (Roll Eyes) Every panel of the body had dents and axe holes in it. All of the glass was smashed and he burned out the clutch. So here is my baby after I restored it. I sold her when my daughter was born and bought a 99 4runner. I kind of wish I had kept her. I think that I sold it for $2500 in 99 which I thought was good. Now in California they are selling for a LOT more than that in rough condition. LOL

I added the newer bumpers to it and put 33" tires on her. I had it re-geared to 5.29 if I remember correctly. It had a 3" Rancho lift, dual Rancho shocks on all four corners and some other goodies.

I don't think that's an aftermarket paint job. I remember my biological contributor had an 80s era 4runner that had that color though the back section was black not white. The stickers on the door believe are aftermarket though. If that one's paint isn't factory then they did a good job on matching up the paint from the 80s 4runners.

That is a nice color, I guess it's a shade of orange, with a hint of gold and brown. Nothing like the bright loud oranges that are popular today.
