I have a 2005 and a 2015 TRD OffRoad sitting side-by side. The trucks are identically equipped with the exception of a 400# fiberglass camper shell on the 2005. The rear suspension on the 2005 was replaced less than two years ago on a recall notice; I am not sure of the 2015, but it looks to be stock with 40K miles on it. Both rear ends have Bilstein shocks. The front lift is identical. Through the hubs, the 2015 is lifted 2" higher than the 2005. I would not think the camper shell would make the 2005 settle 2 inches. Is this the factory setup, or has the 2015 been lifted.

The 2015 sits at 38" at the rear and 34" at the front: Any suggestions on leveling the truck without lowering the rear? I figure the camper shell and HC bumper will level it some.

    Tire diameters equal?

Measuring from hub center vertically to fender edge is the way to remove the tires from your comparison.

Yep, all things are equal and identical, down to the thread depth on the tires. Center of hubs to bottom of fender measures 21.5" and 23.5"

Most likely the recall leaf springs have flattened out carrying around a #400 camper. You may get some help by adding an AAL. Best bet would be a new set of leaf springs and a set of bed stiffeners.

I added an AAL pretty much right after the recall leaf springs were put on and I'm setting at 24.25" on PS rear with my Leer cap and a couple of totes full of gear in the bed.

I'll be installing the hc bumper and moving the camper shell over to the 2015 soon; I will remeasure then. The 2005 can then go away.

Transferred the camper shell and the HC bumper to the 2015 today and lost a 1/2 inch of lift and gained a 1/2 inch on the 2005. Unloaded everything into the shop and remeasured both trucks. 2015 sits 2 inched higher than the 2005.

The question remains: is the stock lift on the 2015 2 inches more than the stock lift on the 2005? Does anyone have the specs for stock lift. I cannot find them anywhere.

400 pounds is probably capable of squatting the rear end two inches versus stock. Or at least close to it.
