Yes I do! They are pricey but the memories it’s help me create is totally worth it.

    Camping solution for hunting idea:

I take my quad on utility trailer. It's 10" long. Was considering setting up camp with Quad off trailer, and set up tent on trailer? Off the ground, level. Leaves truck bed (under canopy for storing gear). Easier on my 70 y.o. bones coming and going from tent. Those roof top tents look like an invitation to visit n orthopaedic surgeon to me (wet, iy ladders, half asleep).Anyone try this idea?

    thanks!

You might consider a smaller Colman fast pich tent for the trailer if it fits. :notsure:

    Thanks, but to "buts"

    - Coleman tent Too big.
-I planned to use my single wall backpack hunting tent +/- rigging a tarp over it so rain doesn't pool in trailer if heavy rain happens. When the rain stops here I am going to try setting tent up and see how it works.

I've got that tent in the 9'x12 8-person size and it is the easiest (and quickest) tent to set up at the end of the day when you are exhausted. I have a bunch of tents. None are as convenient as this one. When you work through your tent options, and if you end up back on the ground give this one a try. Buy it from Walmart online so if it doesn't work out you can take it back to your local store for a full refund. I pitch mine, then erect Coleman's 13x13 pop-up canopy and move it over the tent. Rain issue solved. Both are super-fast to take down too.

Of note...if a part on the tent breaks Coleman will send you a new tent. They don't stock parts, so they just send you a new tent. Same on the canopy.

Sounds like your a graduate from blue tarp tech! And you’ve got cargo room and a hitch….. this might be something to look at:
(adding a lil mastery class blue tarp tech over the canopy, you might have something) :)

First night was just outside of BV in CO (Mushroom Gulch). Then did part of the BDR and found a place on the way up Weston Pass to relax for the afternoon/eve.

I really want to do the BDRs. I was considering doing them on motorcycle, but now that we have the Tacoma it will be way more comfortable.
