I hate chrome. I did the complete chrome delete and I'm happy with the results.

 

probably cheaper to get a knockoff on etsy with a design thats to your preference

 

How did you make it? looks great!

 

I had to choose a quick gift for Christmas so I got the sill liners that are made of like Bedliner material. I started to install them and then thought what a bitch these would be to clean with so many deep crevices. I will end up ordering this one for my truck.

 

I used my laser cutter and cut it out of acrylic. I spray painted the letters, but I am going to order some colored acrylic so it won’t chip. It’s a prototype for now. I’m not entirely happy with how it mounts yet. It’s pretty solid, but I think there is a better way to attach it to the grille.

 

Spent the weekend soundproofing / insulating the roof, and installing Katzkins (graphite, red stitch, perforated Tekstitch). ).

 

Installed two 32 oz beers in passenger door (Imperial Stout & a Bock) from a brewery in Fort Collins CO. Uninstalled them when I got home to service my liver later.

 

Best use of those door drink holders I’ve seen yet!

Installed meso customs push button, coin box, and figured out how to get patches to stick up top haha

 

I bought some accent parts from Tufskinz - pure crap. "Adhesive" would not stick - used alcohol etc... Went from wrapper to crapper in 20 minutes. Lesson learned with those guys.

Went off roading in Jericho mountain state park. Nice trails - put a few new dents in my skids and broke in my new rock sliders. I'm down a mud flap and a fender flare - small price for such a good time.

 

Finally got time to pull the snow tires and put the summers on. Only a month or so late… Also oil change time.
Finally got my ECGS bushing in as well. Did the method without undoing the axle nut and pulling the axle. Would not recommend. I think I spent more time working around the axle than I would have by pulling the axle and bucking up and getting the torque wrench and socket to do the axle nut. Might be ok if you’re on a lift, but working in the driveway on stands, it was a PITA.

 

Also loaded up everything from my bed to my backseat 4 wheels, a grill insert, and some tools because it was about to storm on the drive home. Pretty good storage for such a small space

Sadly that's normal. Even aftermarket is right up there. I think I paid slightly more than that for a set of Tuffskinz (though I think their tricolor mountains look bitchin').

JD Fab dual shear spindle upgrade is what you want to buy (~$400 iirc). You will need to weld plates onto the spindles, as well as ream out the OEM tie rod hole to 5/8".

The setup replaces the OEM ball joint, single shear, with a heim joint in dual shear. The adaptor piece takes you from the joint to the OEM tie rod.

I have a tie rod sleeve showing up soon that will reinforce the remaining part of the skinny tie rod you can see in the photo.

Probably not needed by most, but my truck is Heavy, with a capital H, and I enjoy driving quickly on dirt roads.
