Clutch rod excessive play ?

    2.5 inch lift on 33’s
    Hey guys. I was under my dash running some wires and found that my clutch rod has a bunch of side to side play and a little up and down play. Is this normal ?

    Yes. The shaft is more of a pushrod than an actual shaft connected to the piston.

    The play that you should see is a just a bit of pedal motion before it moves the pushrod. Free play is necessary. The SM has the proper numbers:

    Mine squeeked alot since new and I guess theres a bulletin out and Toyota replaced it under warranty.
