    3” leveling
Hello just wondering if anyone can help me out. So I have a 3” leveling on my taco and I am currently running a 285/70/17 with 3” wheel spacers. I do rub a little and do know I can do a body mount chop but other than doing that and getting a bigger lift just yet does anyone have any other suggestions on what I can do? Thank you in advance

It's not your lift that's causing the rubbing issue, it's the 3" wheel spacers. Not knowing what type of wheels you are running, the 3" spacer would be too wide for even stock wheels. Stock wheels only need about a 1.25" spidertrax spacer and most aftermarket wheels with a 4"-4.25" backspacing would work to avoid rubbing. With your current 3" wheel spacers, you increased the turn radius of the tire which would guarantee hitting the cab mounts when turning.

Surprisingly the 3” spacers was able to clear my stock rims with my 265/75/16s tires. I currently have on Rebel Racing Sahara 17x9 -6 offset

Thank you for this info as I am in a similar boat although using 1.75"-2" spacers instead (sorry don't know the exact spacer width as it came with the truck). I'm hoping that if I put smaller spacers in, I can resolve most of this issue.

Are you referring to a 3" spacer lift or wheel spacers? OP is talking about wheel spacers. 265s vs. 285s is enough size difference to cause rubbing given the same setup. Running 265/75s doesn't require a lift or wheel spacers on stock rims.

Lifting doesn't give magical clearance for a 285/70/17. 99.9% sure you need to do the cab mount chop/relocation. This has been gone over many times, one of the most popular questions on Tacoma World.

New here. Can you give me some insight on what cab mount chop/relocation is? I assume removing the mud flaps or modifying them and perhaps shaving off some of the cab in the fender well? Thanks.

CMC is cutting out part of the cab mount frame that projects into the wheel well and welding a cover plate back on. It basically clips the corner and removes much of the obstruction. Here's some pics from mine:
