    Remember these? In the 50’s and prior you’d see these water bags hanging off car bumpers, mostly in the west. People took these along when they went camping and on long trips, it was their water. . Even on hot days they kept the water cool due to evaporation. I remember dad and I heading up to our favorite trout stream. After 3 hours of driving in 100 degree heat in a truck with no a/c, the water was cool and sweet, heaven sent.

    I remembered driving around Arizona with the official desert water bag on the Scout.

    Dad used to take us out to ghost towns and old mining camps and stuff like that looking for souvenirs.

    I don’t remember putting butter on saltine crackers because we usually only had margarine. I do remember putting peanut butter or jelly on any kind of cracker.
