Hey guys, I’m looking for a measurement / picture like this one of a 3rd generation Tacoma but with second generation running boards. I’m considering replacing my tube steps with 2nd generation running boards but I like the door ding protection that the tube steps provide. I’d like to see if the running boards protrude to the side more or less than the tube steps. This measurement is taken with the door open and the square sitting on top of the tube step. Thanks in advance.

I have 2nd generation running boards/steps on my 2019. AFAIK all 3rd generation Tacomas use the 2nd generation running boards.

I have not seen ANY that appear to offer significant door ding protection.

Thanks, I know that they’ll fit, I’m just curious as to how far they extend out to the side in comparison to what I have on now. Yours look great, that’s the look that I’m going for.

Sorry to necrobump, but does anyone know how well these hold up over time? I'd like to get them for my 3rd gen but I saw a pair at the parking lot today that seemed pretty faded, but maybe that was just dirt/dust.

Also, does anyone know what these weigh? I see different numbers all over, Amazon says ~40lbs, some sites say ~30lbs, and I saw a forum post saying the box was ~70lbs
