So this is my '95 Tacoma's Carfax, as of this morning. Although I can't locate any records for the original sale of the truck, it can be assumed that it was never titled or registered in the US, and exported new from the selling dealer (Toyota of Downtown LA - who has no records dating back more than six years).

It's currently on a RORO ship and is scheduled to be back in its motherland on July 11th.

In case anyone is curious, I've been living in South Korea for the past seven years and just relocated back to the States (KY). The truck was a gift from my father-in-law. He's not the original owner and the truck has roughly 119,800 miles on it. Also, there's a long travel front suspension waiting for it after it arrives. Here are a couple pics before my wife and I sent it to the Port of Masan, in Korea, on June 2nd.

Should probably note, as well, that the plan is to take it to So-Cal for a few days and get the suspension and fenders installed (wheels/tires undecided) but basically all of the removed parts will be for sale. If anyone needs anything specific, or knows a good way to get rid of the parts while I'm out there, let me know. I prefer not to deal with shipping for now, so if someone wants to meet me in So Cal or anywhere along my route back to KY, that would be preferred. After I get out there with the truck, I will post everything in detail in the BST thread if the moderators allow it.

Did you sign up with Toyota and enter your VIN? This will give you more info, or info from another angle (service history, etc.) My Carfax was clean as well but from Toyota showed early service (ball joints, etc.) I also have the original owner's manual and service records with the first few records in it.

No record of any sort on Carfax isn't always a good thing.
Never been a fan of Carfax, can be easily manipulated.

CarFax not the end all be all

NICB run will tell the truth….all states

of course that’s what all insurance companies use…..to find a reason to pay accurately

a Mgr of insurance company bought some truck at big dealership…..was totaled.

After NICB ran by her insurance company, was prior ttl loss in different state, repaired, clean title issued, then bc of that clean title, sold at auction to dealership
Dealership held ground on CarFax was clean
She took 40% loss in ACV of said truck
