    Hi

    2013 4 door Tacoma here.

I need some river sand for some landscaping projects.

how much could I haul in the bed of my Tacoma? They sell it by the ton.

    Thanks

Manufacturer decal on the drivers door opening will tell you the gross vehicle weight..payload weight allowed..if they sell by the ton which equals 2,000lbs plan on 1,000 to 1,500 maximum. not knowing exactly I'd caution on the safe side at 1/2 ton..1,000 lbs of sand..sure it may do more but do you really want that kind of weight bogging down your truck and possibly causing damage..I'd stick to a safe 1,000 lbs..of course the Toyota decal overrides anyones personal opinion..be safe..

    How much do you need?

How far will you need to drive and on what kind of conditions?

How much do they charge to deliver?

Renting a trailer an option? You can tow more than you can haul in the bed.

Rent a full size truck from HD?

Anything over 1,500 pounds is usually to much towing included.Just have them send it to your house if you can trust me the damage and cleaning process of using your truck won’t be worth i.I learned this the hard way.
