I suppose I qualify as a Toyota fanboy
2004 Sequioa,206,000 miles zero major issues.
    2005 Tacoma, 196,000 miles 0 problems ever!
2015 Taco, 15,000 miles, zero problems

2016 Ram Ecodiesel 1500, Major issues over 63,000 miles

    2016 4Runner, 61,000 miles and going strong.

Went back to Toyota and bought my current taco after the Ram fiasco

Do you actually own one or you are just fucking with us?

I mean they are not that bad, TW makes 3rd gens sound like a complete POS, when it’s far from it. I load my baby up all the time and she loves it. I do have a 4.30 rear end though.

Aside from too much plastic under the hood, my major complaint is the gearing. It's laughable as a tow vehicle. I don't think it's a complete or capable truck without a regear. Just add 3k to the price

Fan boy here and fucking proud to be. Have four of them in the garage as we speak. I find most Toyota fans to be intelligent, intellectual, educated and wise with their money. Which leads me to ask how is it you became a Toyota owner?

I think it's a major complaint, but I just left a newer dodge and a ford. I had no confidence they would make it past their warranty without major problems. Damn that f150 could pull though, even though a brand new V8 used oil and had a bunch of issues ford won't recognize. And don't even get me started on the Dodge...

So for my taco is perfect except the unusable gearing. 5.29s later this month!

Not much a small travel trailer (3000ibs or so). Towing is more about the aerodynamics a lot of the time.
It felt like driving a two speed transmission, 3rd and 4th most of the time if the wind is slightly unfavorable. I decided I wasn't going into the mountains stock. I analyzed the gearing and it's just way too tall. Did a side by side of 3.9s vs 5.29s
